Arche Lafaurie is an exceptional micro-cuvée made from the finest terroirs of Château d’Arche, historically located in front of the château and overlooking south-facing valleys. Historically known as ‘crème de tête’, this great Sauternes white wine is produced from the first sorting of the harvest (called ‘trie de tête’), where only the grapes most affected by noble rot are meticulously selected. The result is a complex wine of extreme richness, produced in very small quantities only when the vintage permits.
The nose reveals notes of honey, dried fruit, walnuts and slight notes of hazelnuts associated with a very fine note of acacia in the background. The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced, mineral, quite rich and offers a nice fresh/acid frame that leads the tasting. In the mouth it expresses notes of peach in syrup, candied citrus (mandarin, lemon) and slight notes of caramel associated with a hint of walnuts.

Recognized for its exceptional elegance and equality by the most famous wine critics in the world, the great wine of Château d´Arche is like its terroir : rare, timeless and vibrant.

“A” of Château d’Arche is a Bordeaux appellation dry wine produced by Château d’Arche, Grand cru classé de Sauternes in 1855. Blended from 85% Semillon, the emblematic grape variety of Sauternes, and 15% Sauvignon, hand-picked, this wine reflects all the typicity of its terroir. Harvested on the verge of botrytisation, these grapes offer an exceptional aromatic base that is not unlike the notes of our great Sauternes. Its maturing on fine lees half in vats and half in barrels, 20% of which are new and 30% in Sauternes wine barrels, will only reinforce its identity and aromatic power.
“A” of Château d’Arche is a Graves appellation red wine produced by Château d’Arche, Grand cru classé de Sauternes in 1855.
It comes from a small, late-sloping, steep Graves terroir, culminating at 65m, on a silty-gravelly soil with asteries limestone at its summit.
The grapes, picked when perfectly ripe, undergo alcoholic fermentation in vats followed by malolactic fermentation partly in barrels before being aged for 9 months in new barrels for 50% of the total volume.
Blended with 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, this red wine is fresh and perfectly balanced.
Created by the Château d’Arche team in 2020. This wine is the tasty meeting of a traditional method and a dosage liqueur based on Sauternes from Château d’Arche which gives this wine a unique and delicate signature.
Second wine of Château d’Arche. This wine makes the difference with its resolutely moderne Bottle.
